Red Hat Summit レッドハット株式会社（本社：東京都渋谷区、代表取締役社長：廣川裕司、以下レッドハット）は本日、従来のLinuxトレーニング販売代理店制度を強化する施策として、新しい販売代理店制度「スタータートレーニングパートナープログラム」の開始を発表いたします。
「スタータートレーニングパートナープログラム」は従来のトレーニングパートナー制度とは違い、Linux/UNIX初心者を対象とするコースに特に絞って開催・販売する点に特徴があります。パートナーが開催・販売するのはUNIX/Linux初心者に対して、Linux ひいてはオープンソースの考え方の基本、初心者の理解の礎となる基礎知識を習得するコースです。
Linuxやオープンソースがエンタープライズ分野、特にミッションクリティカルな基幹分野において安心して導入・利用されるためには、安全性・信頼性が技術的に担保されている必要があります。
Linux/UNIX初心者教育コースのプロフェッショナル・パートナーを経由し、Linux/UNIXをまったく触ったことがない層に対してLinuxを学ぶ機会を積極的に創出し、最終的にはRed Hat Certified Technician(以下、RHCT)の資格を取得するレベルにまで導き、日本のIT市場にLinuxサーバ管理者を送り込むことがゴールです。
RHCTはLinuxサーバ管理者向けの世界共通の認定資格で、2009年7月1日現在で現在世界で3万人、日本において1,800人の有資格者がいます。これに加え本プログラム経由での新規RHCT取得者を、今後2年で1,000名にするのが目標です。
本プログラム最初のパートナーとして認定されたのは株式会社ウィルブレインズとなります。ウィルブレインズは9月1日より、本パートナープログラムに基づく基礎コース、「基礎から学ぶLinux講座（ Red Hat Enterprise Linux版）」を提供開始いたします。ウィルブレインズより提供されるコースの概要は以下になります：
