2006年2月7日、ラーレー（米ノースカロライナ州）– 企業向けオープンソースのプロバイダとして世界をリードするRed Hat（NASDAQ：RHAT）は本日、HPの新しいAdvanced Telecommunications Computing Architecture（AdvancedTCA）bh5700ブレードサーバ上においてRed Hat Enterprise Linuxを認定する意図を発表しました。推奨オペレーティングシステムとしてRed Hat Enterprise Linuxを搭載したこの新型サーバは、2月13～16日にバルセロナで開催される3GSM World Congress 2006において公開される予定です。

AdvancedTCAは、通信事業者とサービスプロバイダの高可用性、サービス品質、およびパフォーマンス要件を満たすように設計された、次世代の通信アーキテクチャです。ATCAハードウェアの仕様には、高速の相互接続テクノロジ、次世代プロセッサ、強化された信頼性、管理性、および保守性といった分野で最新のトレンドが取り入れられています。Red Hat Enterprise Linuxは、サービスプロバイダと通信事業者から要求されるパフォーマンス、信頼性、およびセキュリティの厳しい要件を満たすその機能に基づいて、HP AdvancedTCAブレードサーバの推奨オペレーティングシステムに選定されました。
